About the role

Good hiring advice depends on knowing where skills exist and which rules apply. This analyst studies official labour statistics, shortage occupation data and migration policy changes, and turns them into short briefs for clients and internal teams. Sources include the Federal Employment Agency, Destatis, Eurostat, the IAB and UAE ministry publications. You work with recruiters, mobility advisors and the insights team, who publish a regular brief for clients. The role is remote within the EU.

What you will do

  • Track shortage occupations and wage data in Germany and the UAE
  • Analyse source-country talent pools for specific professions
  • Follow changes to German and UAE immigration rules and summarise their effect
  • Write short client briefs and longer market reports
  • Maintain clean, documented datasets for repeat use

What you bring

  • Master's degree in economics, labour studies, migration studies or a related field
  • 2+ years of applied research using official statistics
  • Proficiency in R, Python or Stata, and in Excel
  • Clear writing for non-specialist readers
  • Careful sourcing and citation habits

Good to have

  • German at C1
  • Familiarity with the BA Engpassanalyse
