About the role
Recognition of qualifications decides whether many international hires can work in Germany at all. In regulated professions such as nursing or medicine it is a precondition for the residence permit. This advisor prepares recognition applications, identifies the right competent authority and plans adaptation periods or knowledge tests when recognition is partial. You work with recruiters, immigration case managers and client HR, and with the language training partners for candidates who need B1 or B2 German.
What you will do
- Identify the competent authority for each profession and federal state
- Prepare recognition applications, translations and certified copies
- Request ZAB statements of comparability for academic degrees
- Plan adaptation periods and knowledge tests with employers and schools
- Use the recognition partnership route under §16d AufenthG where it fits
What you bring
- 2+ years working on recognition, migration advice or credential evaluation
- German at C1
- Knowledge of the anabin database and the Federal Recognition Act (BQFG)
- Experience with regulated professions, especially nursing or medicine
- Patient, clear communication
Good to have
- Hindi, Arabic or Persian
- Experience with the IQ Network or Make it in Germany resources
