About the role
Many employers move people without a written policy, then make expensive one-off decisions. This advisor helps them write clear rules for long-term assignments, short-term assignments, permanent transfers and remote work abroad. You work with our tax and payroll specialists on cost and compliance, and with HR advisory on how a policy fits the client's reward structure. Most clients are mid-sized companies in Germany and the Gulf hiring internationally at scale for the first time.
What you will do
- Draft assignment, transfer and international remote work policies, including tiered relocation packages
- Benchmark policy elements such as housing, schooling and home leave against market practice
- Flag compliance risks: permanent establishment, A1 certificates, social security and posting rules
- Run policy workshops with client HR and finance teams
- Write employee-facing guides that explain the policy in plain language
What you bring
- 6+ years in global mobility, at a consultancy, a Big Four mobility practice or in corporate HR
- Working knowledge of German and UAE employment and social security rules
- Experience writing policy documents that were adopted and used
- Comfort presenting to HR directors and CFOs
- Clear written English
Good to have
- German at C1
- Experience with Worldwide ERC or similar policy frameworks
