The role in brief
Executive search depends on research done before any approach is made. This role supports our search consultants in Frankfurt and Dubai on mandates for managing directors, CFOs, heads of HR and senior engineering leaders. You map organisations, identify the people doing the job well and check backgrounds through public sources. You work alongside the consultants from the kick-off meeting to the final shortlist, and you keep the research archive in good order for the next mandate.
Your days will include
- Build organisation charts and target company lists for each mandate
- Identify and profile potential candidates using registers, annual reports, press and professional networks
- Make first discreet approaches by phone and LinkedIn on the consultant's behalf
- Prepare candidate reports and market maps for client presentations
- Maintain research records in line with GDPR retention rules
What we're looking for
- 2+ years in executive search research, strategy consulting research or business intelligence
- Comfort with the Handelsregister, the Unternehmensregister and company filings in English and German
- Precise writing; your reports go to client boards
- Discretion with confidential mandates
- Familiarity with GDPR obligations for candidate data
Helpful, not essential
- Arabic, or knowledge of Gulf company and family-group structures
- Experience with Invenias, Clockwork or a similar search CRM
Languages you'll need
English (C1), German (B2) an advantage
